Zade and Austin’s elopement in Alaska was an amazing adventure, filled with breathtaking moments against the backdrop of Knik Glacier’s stunning views. Their choice of location for tying the knot couldn’t have been more perfect. The day was filled with memorable experiences, like getting to ride in a helicopter with Alaska Helicopter Tours. Overall, I felt so lucky that I got to capture such a special day in Zade and Austin’s lives. It’s no secret that I love going on adventures with couples and capturing their big day.

I loved getting to learn about Zade and Austin’s unique love story! They were getting ready to leave Alaska for work, but before they did, they wanted to elope in the state they fell in love. They had never been on a glacier before, and wanted to experience what it’s like. So, they thought, why not get married on one! It was an adventure filled with the stunning icy landscapes of Knik Glacier. Plus, the ceremony was intimate, just the two of them exchanging vows on the ice. It was a day I will definitely cherish forever as an elopement photographer.

When we took off in the helicopter, we got to see some of the most gorgeous views of Knik Glacier and the last bits of fall colors. I even got to capture photos of Zade and Austin experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime moment. All in all, it created some lasting memories for everyone among the beauty of Alaska.
