ELEGANT, WARM, TIMELESS WEDDING at forget me not nursery IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA

There’s something especially magical about a wedding in late July—when the Alaska summer is in full swing and golden light lingers well into the evening. Reid and Chris’s wedding at Forget Me Not Nursery in Indian, Alaska, just 20 miles south of Anchorage along the scenic Seward Highway, was one of those unforgettable days that felt like it came straight out of a dream.

This elegant summer wedding in Alaska was all about intentional simplicity. The afternoon ceremony was filled with warmth—both in weather and emotion. Reid wore a sleek, halter-style gown that exuded timeless elegance, her hair softly curled and pulled back in a low ponytail, showing off the open-back silhouette of her dress. Chris looked classic in a black tux with subtle modern touches, perfectly complementing Reid’s refined bridal look. Together, they were effortlessly stunning—but more importantly, they were so present with one another, laughing, crying, and fully soaking in every moment.

The ceremony took place outdoors beneath the open sky, surrounded by lush Alaska forest and vibrant flowers. Minimalist white floral pillars framed the altar, striking a beautiful balance between simplicity and intentional design. It was clear to everyone watching just how deeply these two care for each other.

After the “I do’s,” guests moved into the greenhouse for a sun-drenched wedding reception that felt straight out of a fairytale. Long tables were set with soft neutral linens, delicate glassware, and wildflower arrangements in clear vases—effortless, natural, and totally in sync with the surroundings. Hanging ivy and string lights overhead added to the cozy, romantic vibe.

Reid and Chris shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends under the warm glass ceiling. The energy of the night picked up when Blackwater Railroad Company, a local Alaska band, kicked off the live music—setting the tone for a joyful, lively celebration. From the heartfelt toasts to a cake-cutting moment filled with laughter and goofiness, every part of the evening felt completely them.

And in true Alaska wedding fashion, the majestic Chugach Mountains stood in the background, silent and stunning, bearing witness to this incredible celebration of love.

Weddings like Reid and Chris’s are such a joy to capture—full of heart, natural beauty, and the kind of love that makes you feel lucky just to witness it.
