Saying that I love capturing elopements is an understatement. This was especially true for Alanna and Jason, as I had the privilege of capturing their helicopter Alaska elopement at Knik Glacier and Alpine Landings. Let me tell you, this place is STUNNING! As we explored this icy paradise, Alanna and Jason were super adventurous and were living their best lives. Also, the towering glaciers provided absolutely beautiful views for the backdrop of their photos. This coupled had lots of laughs and got lost in the beauty of their surroundings. Capturing Alanna and Jason’s love, as well as the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness, was truly an experience I’ll never forget!

Love On Ice: An Adventurous Elopement at Knik Glacier

Jason and Alanna, a fun-loving couple all the way from Canada, decided to have an Alaska elopement at the jaw-dropping Knik Glacier and Alpine Landings. Can you believe it?! The Knik Glacier, a massive chunk of ice that stretches a mind-boggling 25 miles long and 5 miles wide, is one of the biggest glaciers you’ll find in SouthCentral Alaska. So, these lovebirds didn’t just settle for just any ol’ location. They gallivanted all over that massive glacier, exploring its icy wonders and soaking up the breathtaking views. I mean, imagine the scene – glistening ice formations, vibrant blue crevasses, and mountains for days. It was like stepping into a frozen fairytale!

Wildlife Surprises After An AlasKA ElopemenT

Our journey back from the Alaska elopement turned out to be an unexpected wildlife adventure. We were enjoying the incredible views, when suddenly we spot this massive creature. The heli pilot thought it was a black bear, but nope – it was the biggest porcupine we’ve ever seen! That was just the beginning. As we continued on our wildlife tour, nature decided to show off even more. We saw black bears and brown bears! We also spotted several moose and dall sheep! Nature can seriously blow your mind, no doubt about it.
