Amy and Andy tied the knot in beautiful Girdwood, Alaska! They traveled all the way from California to celebrate their wedding day with their family and friends. Their wedding ceremony was held on the top of Mt. Alyeska, which provided a stunning backdrop of the mountains and forests! However, the weather was super rainy and cloudy. Amy and Andy didn’t let that ruin their special day! Despite the weather conditions, they embraced the unique beauty of the rainy day and enjoyed their day to the fullest. Rainy day weddings may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they can be absolutely stunning and unforgettable! I think it’s all about having the right mindset and seeing the beauty in the situation, like Amy and Andy did! Don’t let a little rain ruin your special day — just remember that it’s all part of the adventure!

Unforgettable Rainy Wedding Day on Mt. Alyeska

Amy and Andy were excited to see the stunning views of Turnagain Arm and the surrounding mountains on their wedding day, but the weather had other plans! The rainy and cloudy weather hid the beautiful views they were hoping to see. However, instead of feeling disappointed, Amy embraced the situation and saw beauty in the rain. As she put it, “Mother Nature couldn’t control her emotions and cried happy tears the whole time.” They got married in a literal cloud! After the wedding, they had a day-after session at Virgin Creek Falls to take some more casual bridal photos, still in the rain and mud. We made the absolute best of it and Amy had the BEST attitude towards the weather and it being the complete opposite of her vision! In the end, the rain added a special touch to their wedding day and created memories they’ll cherish forever.
