Lincoln & Laurine // Engagement Session in Gold Cord Lake, Alaska

Let me tell you a little story about how Laurine and I met…

It’s mid August and I am picking up my click list grocery order from my local Fred Meyer. My attendant comes out to load my car, and since we were quarantining due to a Rona scare, I had my trunk already open for her. She came to my car and so nicely verified that I was Theresa McDonald, to match my order. She was about 2 bags in when she says “This might sound weird, but are you a photographer?” To which I obviously replied that I was. She then told me how she had just gotten engaged and she wanted me to take her engagement pictures and we chatted, through my car 🤣, and I told her to email me which she did! I was so excited about this encounter that I even called my mom after and was like, “LISTEN TO THIS!” 🤣🙈

Anyways, a few weeks later Laurine & Lincoln and I hiked up to Gold Cord Lake in Hatcher Pass Alaska. It had just snowed that morning on the tips of the mountains, but it was still golden and very much fall on the bases. The juxtaposition of the seasons changing was SO beautiful and it was the first time it felt like winter this year.

These two are the absolute cutest and some bada** hikers. (They smoked me the whole way up & down!) They are so cutely in love and have recently wed! I love following along on their cute newlywed life on social and I will always remember this meetup! Thanks Laurine for saying hi! I’m so happy for you two and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!!!
