Whiskey & Cigars | Alaska Engagement Session

When Randi & Dylan were describing their idea engagement session to me, and mentioned they wanted to bring whiskey & cigars - I KNEW it was going to be a fun one!

I love when my couples bring in personal elements for their engagement shoots. Like I mentioned on my post about 5 tips for your engagement sessions, bringing your own personal items makes your shoot so custom and unique. For some it’s eating at their favorite restaurant or kayaking a glacier. For Randi & Dylan, it was incorporating one of their favorite leisurely past times of whiskey & cigars together. It truly doesn’t matter what it is, just something that you will look back on and think of all your fond memories together.

In addition to bringing cool props, these two were so full of JOY throughout their session. Editing these photos made me smile because there was just so much laughter. (And I’m a fan of this foggy beautiful weather! Look at that diffused light!)

Randi wore the prettiest off the shoulder white dress, similar to this one here, and it gave so much movement to their poses. Dylan wore his cowboy hat, because he always wears it! Again with the personal details - I’m a fan!! Your session should showcase YOU in an authentic, artistic way.

Randi & Dylan, thank you for choosing me to capture this fun season of your lives! I think you two are the best!
