10 Year Vow Renewal | Alaska Wedding Photographer

Wooow there aren’t enough beautiful things to say about this 10 year vow renewal here in Alaska.

I am such a fan of unique and meaningful details, and couples doing things their own way. And this 10 year vow renewal was no exception. They have done life together, had kids together, and now were taking a moment to celebrate their love privately as a family. I’m here for it!!

They chose Briarwood Farm here in Alaska as the venue for this Summer event. The beautiful tree & field on the outdoor lawn were the perfect intimate setting. They met under a tree for a first look, (and his reaction is priceless!) and then read vows to each other privately.

We explored the surroundings in golden hour for some couples portraits before bringing in their two ADORABLE kiddos for family photos. The love between all of them was so precious.

After we took portraits, they snuggled together under a tree with a luxury picnic set up for them. The afternoon was spent sipping champagne and taking polaroid photos to remember the day. The flower details were done by The Teal Door, and I think they nailed the boho vibe of the day. The stunning hairstyle was created by Ema Rose Hair. All of it all came together in the most cohesive, beautiful way.

I love love love being an Alaska wedding photographer, and capturing that fresh start of an adventure. But there is something profound and beautiful about capturing the re-declaration of love after living some life together. Being in a long term relationship means you’ve seen real life together - and continuing to say yes to your partner after years is so special. I’ll forever love capturing a good 10 year vow renewal.
